After analyzing the Top 5 trends for women, it’s time to tackle menswear. Yes, gentlemen, shopping may not be your forte, but that’s no reason to give up on fashion. Just like for women, 5 trends stood out. Here they are.

1. The Grunge look

First appearing in the 80s and at its peak in the 90s, grunge style is one of those trends that comes and goes over time. Drawing inspiration from the Seattle music scene (with bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden), it showcases a casual, rebellious and often unkempt look. On the catwalks of Fashion Weeks, we found it in the Fall-Winter 2024-2025 men’s collections of Botter, Dsquared2, Egonlab, Juun.J, Kidill and Loewe.

To don this style, nothing’s simpler: opt for second-hand clothes or clothes that have been deliberately (or rather artistically) deteriorated by leading fashion brands!

2. Full denim

For several seasons now, denim (more commonly known as jeans) has been held in high regard in trends. For this autumn, it’s gaining even more ground to become a total look. If you want to be fashionable, pull out all the stops and go full denim! To illustrate the trend, here are our three benchmarks: Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Officine Générale.

A word of advice before you risk a fashion faux-pas: always match your shades of denim. Here, we’re aiming for a trouser suit or jacket and jeans style ensemble.

3. The « Long Coat«

Because it wouldn’t be winter without a long coat! Yes, just like last year, the long coat will be your best ally for taking on cold temperatures in style. With this trend, almost anything goes: color, length, material and even prints. We’d even go so far as to advise you to play it safe so you don’t look like everyone else.

Among everything we have seen from Paris, Milan, New York and London, we loved these three looks most: the Balmain sequin jacket, the red leather model by Gucci and, finally, the big fur Dolce&Gabbana.

4. The timeless preppy look

If this trend doesn’t ring a bell, don’t worry. You may not have its name in mind, but you’re bound to be familiar with its aesthetics. Because the preppy trend is one of the most timeless in menswear. We owe the trend to famous American universities and their well-to-do, well-groomed students. Its name, more anecdotal than anything else, comes from the word preparatory, in reference to elitist preparatory schools.

This season, many designers are reintroducing the look to your wardrobe, including Amiri, Botter and Wales Bonner!

5. Office Wear, everywhere?

When you work in an office with a strict dress code, there’s not much fun in wearing a suit. But when you’re free to wear whatever you want, go figure, dressing up in office wear from time to time somehow gives you some satisfaction. This autumn, you’ll be able to play around with it and still be at the height of trends. In their autumn-winter collections, designers worldwide are incorporating it left and right. Auralee, Ami, Sean Suen, Giorgio Armani, Loewe, Saint Laurent and so many others are in toe.

Pulling off office wear is child’s play. All you need to do is opt for good quality suits, even oversized for added style, sometimes colorful, sometimes classic. And why not take it out of context? Even more fashionable!
